Our consultants can help you to:
Identify your skills and how these can transfer to other organisations and roles
Gain a clear vision of your future
plan the actions you need to take to move your career forward successfully
Some important advice before you do anything –
In our experience you can avoid some of these early mistakes and pitfalls by following this simple, practical advice:
Try to focus on the positive aspects of your current situation.
Don’t prepare and mail CV’s – together we can construct a powerful CV which reflects what recruiters and others are looking for.
A time to consider the alternatives –don’t assume that you must continue in your current career path – you have options.
Talk to your consultant about the best way to contact those who have expressed an interest in you
How do I start?
Call Elaine Mayberry on 0131 226 6153 or email elaine@cspscotland.co.uk to arrange your first meeting and to discuss the programme of support and how it can be tailored to suit your particular objectives.
The support available to you:
The programmes available provide a range of support, including face to face meetings with a consultant, unlimited email and telephone contact over an agreed period. Following your final meeting, telephone support and guidance will be provided for a further 3 months by your consultant. Objectives might include moving industry sector or effecting a desired change, including changing profession, starting a business or securing consultancy/contracting work.
Programme elements will include:
Initial meeting -
The first meeting is to help you understand the support available, start to address your immediate concerns and agree the shape of the programme you may undertake with your consultant.
Individual face to face meetings:
Face to face meetings allow you to meet with your consultant whenever you both feel it is necessary to successfully progress your career objectives. You will also have 24 hour access to your consultant via phone and email in between meetings. These meetings may be used to coach you on the following topics:
Personal branding – to help you to understand your values, skills and achievements and how these make up your personal brand. Psychometric profiling with an occupational psychologist can be included where necessary or appropriate.
CV development – assistance in developing an effective CV which will have a positive impact on your target market.
Market strategy – support in developing a strategic plan and successfully targeting appropriate sectors, organizations and individuals.
